The promotion of financial products and services is regulated under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap 571) (SFO) and the Securities and Futures (Unsolicited calls-Exclusion) Rules (Cap 571A) (Rules).  The focus of this chapter is on two prevalent channels of financial promotions: unsolicited calls and the issue of advertisements.
