Hugo was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and joined Hauzen LLP as an associate in 2021. Prior to becoming a member of Hauzen LLP, Hugo received training in a leading criminal law firm in Hong Kong and was seconded to the Securities and Futures Commission in 2020. During his traineeship, he was heavily involved in various criminal cases regarding white-collar crimes such fraud and money laundering. He is also developing a practice in securities and regulatory matters.
Hugo has experience in handling proceedings at different levels of court ranging from the Magistrates’ Courts to the Court of Appeal. He also has solid experiences in dealing with different authorities on behalf of his clients, including the Hong Kong Police Force, Commercial Crime Bureau, the Customs & Excise Department, the Department of Justice, the Immigration Department, and the Securities and Futures Commission.
He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
