The merged firm will have over 400 lawyers, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Haikou City, Nanjing and Hong Kong, and combined revenue of close to US$100 million.
This naturally is an exciting development for Hauzen LLP, as the merged firm will allow us to strengthen our service offerings to our clients, and will also create new opportunities for our lawyers and staff.
In Hong Kong, we are working on a combination with CFN Lawyers, Broad & Bright’s associated Hong Kong firm, and itself a leading law practice focusing on corporate finance and capital markets. CFN’s practice and ours are complementary, and we believe that the combination will elevate the practice of all lawyers in both Hong Kong firms – a case of the whole being more than a sum of its parts.
According to The American Lawyer, “[a]nother vital piece to the puzzle that will need to be sorted is Hong Kong. Anjie launched in the city in 2018 with an affiliation with Hong Kong-based Hauzen, which is run by managing partner Basil Hwang, who is a former partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm and also Dechert’s former Hong Kong managing partner.”
