The forum consisted of a full day of engaging legal content. We hosted a panel discussion on “Legal developments in Fintech – Transactions, Tokenization and Litigation”. We were honoured to have our guest speakers Ms. Patricia Ho (General Counsel and COO of Scroll.io) and Mr. Nichol Yeo (Director and Counsel of Nine Yards Chambers LLC), join our Mr. Basil Hwang and Mr. Julian So in our panel discussion.
The panellists shared valuable insights on regulatory challenges surrounding tokenisation and virtual assets. Discussed best practices for conducting effective legal due diligence when dealing with tokenized assets. The panel also offered a comparative analysis of the fintech regulatory environments between Singapore and Hong Kong, and explored the property rights and legal status of cryptocurrencies in jurisdictions.
